This is a makeup look that I recently did on my friend Christina. It is a classic golden smokey eye that can work for many occasions! Follow along with this simple step by step tutorial for each product I used.
And a special thanks to Paige Lamarre Photography for the beautiful pictures of Christina!
When starting with a fresh face, I first use an all over face primer. It is important to cover the T-zone (forehead and nose). The Porefessional by Benefit is by far my favorite face primer because it completely minimizes the appearance of pores. This product also helps reduce oily shine throughout your day.

After the face primer you can use your regular foundation and apply it evenly on your face. For this look I used Hello Flawless by Benefit because it is what Christina normally uses. I applied it using a damp Beauty Blender.

Next, is contouring. I like to think of this as a three step process and this palatte from ItCosmetics makes that simple! It provides you with the three colors you will need to contour. First, I highlight the cheekbones with the "live" shade. Then, I lightly apply the "love" blush. Lastly, I take the "laugh" bronzer and apply it to the hollows of the cheekbones, the sides of the nose, to give the illusion of a narrower bridge, and the forehead to warm up the skin tone.

For brows I used the Define a Brow by Maybelline. I keep it natural looking by following the existing brow line and only filling it in slightly.

Before starting the eye makeup I use an eye primer to help the shadow stay on longer and prevent it from creasing. Shadow Insurance from Too Faced is my favorite to use.

For this look I used the Naked 2 palette. When doing a golden smokey eye, the key is to start with the lightest shade in the corner of the eye and work your way towards the darker shades. I used "Bootycall" in the corner and used "Foxy" on the brow bone. Then, I applied a mix of "Half Baked" and "suspect" to the center of the eye. Lastly, I took "Busted" and applied it to the outer corner and blended it into the crease to add dimension to the eye.

For Christina's look I skipped the eyeliner and went right to mascara. I used Better than Sex by Too Faced.

To finish off the look I used NYX Lip Lingerie in the shade "Bedtime Flirt". This is a matte liquid lipstick that dries smooth and is long lasting.

Xoxo, Liv
