This year for Halloween my roommates and I decided to be fruit! Together we were a pineapple, a kiwi and a strawberry. Our costumes were so simple to make and they turned out adorable! If you are on a tight budget and running short on time, then this costume will be perfect for you! Happy Halloween!
To make my pineapple costume:
1) I got an oversized yellow shirt from Joann Fabric.
2) I used black fabric paint to draw on the pineapple spikes. I made some darker than others to add dimension and placed them randomly across the front of the shirt.
3) I bought a yellow headband to attach the pineapple stem to my head. I taped a paper towel roll that I had colored green to the headband.
4) I used green construction paper and cut out large, medium and small leaves. I then taped them to cover the entire paper towel roll. I placed the large leaves first. As a layered I made the leaves get smaller towards the bottom of the stem. I rolled the tips of each leaf to make them fan out like a real pineapple's stem.
5) I paired this look with pineapple earrings and bright yellow crocs. I wore black Nike shorts under my oversized shirt.

Xoxo, Liv
