Happy Thanksgiving! I hope that everyone's day is filled with family, friends and lots of yummy food! This year I made my Mimi's Maple Syrup Pie (tarte au sirop d'érable). This recipe has been in our family for years as it is a traditional Canadian dessert. I also decided to put my decorating skills to the test and make the pie crusts a little different from each other.

Mimi's Maple Syrup Pie Recipe
(This recipe makes one pie)
2 cups of maple syrup 1 cup of heavy cream
4 tablespoons of flour
2 1/2 tablespoons of butter
Mix the maple syrup and the heavy cream in a saucepan on medium heat. Stir until it is evenly mixed. Add in the flour and butter. Stir again until the mixture is evenly mixed and hot. Pour the mixture into your pie crust and cover with your desired pie crust design.
Cook at 350 degrees until the pie crust browns. The pie filling will still be liquid after it cooks. Set in the fridge overnight to cool the filling.

Xoxo, Liv
