The Quarry Tap Room, located in Hallowell, Maine, is a great place to come together for a bite to eat or a cold beer! With over 30 microbrews and domestic beers on tap, you are sure to find something you love! (My personal favorite is an Allagash White which is brewed in Portland, Maine).
Not only does the Quarry have the best drinks, but they have absolutely delicious food! For dinner I love ordering the beer battered haddock sandwich. This sandwich features light and flaky beer battered fresh haddock topped with lettuce, bacon and tartar sauce on a grilled roll. Another good choice are their fried pickles or their soft baked sourdough pretzel sticks! This yummy teaser is lightly salted and served with warm beer cheese dip.
The atmosphere is fun and nostalgic as it looks like a rustic yet modern saloon. Some of my favorite nights this past summer were spent on the gorgeous outdoor patio at The Quarry Tap Room. With an Allagash White in my hand, I enjoyed excellent live music, games of corn hole and catching up with friends.
To finish off the night, their dessert options include a triple chocolate cake and a Maine blueberry swirl cheesecake! Next time you're in Hallowell, be sure to stop by!
