My Ultimate Guide to NYC

This past weekend I visited New York City for the third time and it's safe to say that I am completely in love with this city. Something about being in NYC just makes me feel like I was dropped into a scene straight from Sex And The City! Each time I've visited, I've enjoyed exploring Manhattan and all it has to offer. Below are some of my favorite museums, restaurants, sight seeing attractions and Broadway shows!

Tour of Radio City Music Hall

This iconic entertainment venue is a must-see when visiting the city! I loved doing the tour because we learned some unique history about the building and got to meet a Rockette!

Eataly

An Italian Marketplace complete with fresh produce, handmade pastas and three Italian restaurants! Browsing the marketplace was so much fun and the pizza I ate for dinner was absolutely delicious.

Carmine's

This family-style Italian restaurant lies in the heart of Times Square and is my favorite place to eat after watching a Broadway show! The pasta bowls are served with enough to feed several people and their chocolate gelato is so yummy.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

The MET is the largest art museum in The United States! I could walk through the exhibits all day long.

Times Square

Times Square is nothing short of pure craziness. I don't really love Times Square because it can get overcrowded and dirty but it is iconic and definitely a place to see at least once.

The Tonight Show Last October I put my name on the stand-by list to see a live taping of The Tonight Show Staring Jimmy Fallon! After waiting almost 2 hours in line, my cousin Britney and I were the last two people they called in line to see the show! If you get the chance, go to NBC Studios early in the morning (Mondays-Thursdays) to put your name on the list. John Cena was the guest the night I saw the show and sitting in the audience was an incredible experience.

Top of The Rock

This view is simply breathtaking and I could have just sat up there all day! You can see everything from The Statue of Liberty to Central Park on the top of the Rockefeller Center

9/11 Memorial and Museum

This memorial and museum is a beautiful tribute to the lives lost on 9/11. This museum tells a story and is an eye-opening piece of history.

Central Park

Located between the Upper West Side and Upper East Side, Central Park is a beautiful escape in the midst of the city.

Grand Central Station

This building is absolutely incredible and I particularly love the ceiling. Below the main level are some restaurants and I love grabbing a shake shack burger here!

Sugarfina

If you are looking for the perfect souvenir or gift, look no further than Sugarfina candies! The store was gorgeous and I had so much fun shopping all of their flavors. I brought Ben home some chocolate and his favorite were the Single Malt Scotch Cordials!

Chicago on Broadway

I had been dreaming of seeing Chicago on Broadway ever since I learned about Fosse in my Jazz classes! This show is a classic and did not disappoint.

Mood

The famous fabric store from Project Runway! It was so fun to browse all of the unique and colorful fabrics here.

Junior's Cheesecake

I stopped here for the Red Velvet Cheesecake after seeing a Broadway show. I brought the cheesecake to my hotel room and ate it while watching SNL!

Kate Spade New York I bought my first Kate Spade Purse in Manhattan a few years ago! Last week my mom and I had a little too much fun in Kate Spade and each walked out with a new purse and matching wallet! I absolutely love this brand for the quality of the products as well as the styles they sell. I use one of my Kate Spade purses almost daily. The staff at their stores are also extremely helpful.

Brooklyn Bridge

This bridge connect Manhattan and Brooklyn. It makes for a great photo-op!

Umami

My favorite thing to eat here is the Impossible Burger which is a plant-based patty that tastes almost identical to meat!

Milk Bar

This dessert and bakery restaurant is adorable! My favorite thing on the menu is the cereal milk ice cream that tastes just like the milk at the bottom of a cereal bowl.

Waitress on Broadway

If you're looking for a feel-good musical with a little humor and a lot of heart, then look no further than Waitress. The music will have you wanting to dance in your seat and the ending will make you cry!

Magnolia Bakery

The BEST Banana Pudding!

Color Factory

This pop-up interactive art exhibit has brightly colored rooms that lead you through a series of activities!

The Oculus

The New World Trade Center Transportation Hub that is also a shopping mall. This building is an architectural wonder and I'm in awe of it!

Kiss Me Kate on Broadway

This Broadway Revival is currently starring the incredible Kelly O'Hara as well as Corbin Bleu! The music was lively, the dancing was jaw dropping and the plot left you laughing all night.

La Mercerie

A stunning contemporary French eatery in SoHo that serves the best mimosas, chocolate croissants and crepes! The atmosphere is serene and set inside of a luxury furniture store.

Starbucks Reserve Roastery

This open marketplace styled Starbucks showcases the actual production of Starbucks coffee beans! There are bars for gourmet coffee and delicious food options unlike any normal, neighborhood Starbucks.

Cha Cha Matcha

A trendy and Instagram worthy matcha shop! I loved the designs they made on top of their lattes and the pink and green color scheme inside the cafe.

Xoxo, Liv
